Hi, Hello!

Oh my!  This has been quite a year for me as a teacher.

Last school year, I made a 3 hour (yes, 3 hour!) round trip each day to my lovely school.  I taught an adorable group of first graders, and I loved it.  But that drive was just TOO long.

This was the school I student taught at, and I absolutely adored it.  When I first started teaching there, it was only a 12 minute drive from my house.  Perfect, right?  But life moves on, and when I found myself living some distance away, I knew I couldn't stay there forever.

So this summer, I said my goodbyes and started looking for a new teaching job!  It took some time, but I was recently offered a job at the cutest little school.  I'm due to take over from a retiring third grade teacher in January... but it could turn into a Kindergarten position!

I'm so thankful to have this semester off... we have a lot of work to do on the house, and it'll give me plenty of time to prepare for my third grade friends... or little Kinders!  Oh my!

So basically, I've been spending a lot of time looking at third grade common core, as well as looking into adapting a lot of my first grade materials for the second half of Kindergarten.

Sooo... this blog might be all over the place for a while!  I'll be sharing lots of ideas for grades K-3, and I hope you'll stay tuned.
